Canine Conditioning

Puppy and Lifeskills

Untitled

Chip and I have been thoroughly enjoying our weekly online Canine Conditioning classes. Amy has been really informative and patient, helping us (well, me!) perfect our technique when practicing our exercises between classes.Chip isn’t blessed with the best conformation. She is less than agile on the move and has a recurring shoulder injury, probably as a result. With under 2 months of working with Amy, I can definitely see that her movement is more stable and confident. I will continue with her Conditioning longterm. As an added bonus, we both absolutely love the 1-2-1 time we spend doing our exercises.

Canine conditioning has been a fantastic way to build on my relationship with my dog. Amy has been helped identify underlying issue's with Egg through the process, and we have gone on to further treatment. I fully intend to start conditioning again to build Egg back up to full fitness.

Becky Leighton and Egg - Agility Competitor

I regularly drive 3 hours each way to attend workshops and training days with Amy and Shaun. They both give me confidence whilst pushing me out of my comfort zone. Always come away “buzzing”

I own a Miniature Dachshund who I would like to do competitive agility with. As I was aware of issues that they carry due to their body shape I wanted to give him as much physical support as possible. Canine conditioning does just that. Amy's was able to explain things clearly, why we were doing a certain exercise and what the benefit is. Amy was also able to develop/adjust exercises to fit Parsnips body shape and was able to support throughout the course.

Cuilan and I did all our agility foundation training with Amy, and it is thanks to her that Cuilan has such good and independent weaves. She is very sympathetic to the relationship between handler and dog, understanding any specific constraints that either may have. We have also attended a variety of workshops over the last few years, and each time we come away having learned something new in terms of translating the handling theory into practice, again targeting things that are specific to the dog and handler combination.

Since we started having massages with Amy, Bella's flexibility and strength has improved, she has become more supple and for an anxious dog, more relaxed. Amy is amazing at what she does and even more so very patient with Bella. Thank you Emma and Bella

Gaels massages for pain relief are hugely beneficial. Improvements are noticeable after each session & as a result we have been able to reduce her pain medication. Huge thanks Amy, from Jackie & especially Gael

Amy was recommended by a friend as my sheltie was lame after an agility incident. Amy quickly identified the issue and treated my boy even in difficult times! Wouldn't be without her now! Looking forward to returning ASAP with all 3 dogs! Love Hayley, Jack, Mazie and Beau

Amy always puts my dogs at ease so they get the most out of their massage treatments. Her wealth of canine knowledge enables her to identify any issues, both current and potential, which is invaluable and much appreciated. Top practitioner '

Canine massage with Amy has been amazing. Recommended by a friend it's been the best thing we did for our agility dog. Keeping her in good shape to compete both pre and post competition. Amy's massage definitely contributed to my girl's doing so well at Crufts this year. Highly recommended.

Core conditioning with Amy ensures your dog is totally fit for all aspects of their life. Watching my young dog running when out on walks is amazing. It is as if he automatically moves up a gear to go faster! Amy’s knowledge is incredible and she knows what to suggest to help both you and your dog succeed if you are unsure. Isaac loves his training and after his sets of exercises waits by his blocks for his stretches! One happy healthy dog- who would ask for more.

Mouse and I started out doing The Edge Conditioning program during lockdown, where she has completed the foundation course and then continued onto the intermediate course, I am totally amazed at the changes in Mouse visually and physically...The control she has now over her body for Agility is totally unbelievable and the improvement in her weave action and control for her stopped contacts are down to this course!
She fitter and stronger! This course is a game changer!

Sara Reed and Mouse

Chip has shown improvement in his top line and stands more squarely with increased muscle strength on hind quarters following completion of the foundation course. Now working at intermediate he is showing enhanced body awareness and control especially beneficial on contacts. He is also showing a higher level of lateral suppleness which has improved his speed in the weaves and when cornering.
This course has made him fitter and stronger and should prolong his agility career.

Poppy is a working Labrador who loves agility, she benefits from maintenance massages before, during and after the agility season to keep her on top form and pick up any niggles early to prevent them becoming an issue.

Sarah Barr and Poppy

Taking Sasha to see Amy is the best thing I have ever done for my dog, Amy identified and treated her problems...yes more than one! We still have a quarterly maintenance massage which Sasha loves. She starts getting excited as soon as we get near the clinic. Thank you for giving me my happy dog back. Kay & Sasha

I would not hesitate to recommend the Canine Massage Guild, and Amy in particular, to my friends. I trust her knowledge and skill in treating my dogs and a regular massage is invaluable in maintaining their health and flagging up any issues before they become a major issue. Canine conditioning has benefited my dogs immensely especially my 12 year old who now has such an improved quality of life. I spoke to my vet about his bladder weakness and they gave him medication. I decided to try the conditioning and after a few weeks decreased his meds and he has no bladder weakness. Now after completing foundation I don't give him any meds. We now do intermediate.  I can see such improvements in all 3 of my dogs . I highly recommend this course. It is invaluable to all dogs.

My young dog had some focus issues at shows at the start of last year, Amy supported me to work through these and by August we were not only competing but regularly in the rosettes including some wins.

I have been training with Amy for around 5 months, so so pleased I have, the difference she has made to me and my dogs in this time is a testimony to her insight on all things canine. I would recommend her without hesitation.

I have completed the online foundation conditioning course and am currently doing the intermediate course. Amy is a brilliant teacher, approachable, adaptable and accommodating. Having the course taught remotely benefited me as I have been able to arrange my meetings with Amy around my busy work schedule. Amy is excellent at explaining the way the exercises are to be done, why the exercise is important, and what the exercises are doing. My young dog has achieved measurable improvements in her muscle tone and core strength. I look forward to her continuing to go from strength to strength as we continue our conditioning journey

Rachel Williams and Peggy-Sue

I have been training with Amy for a couple of years and could not recommend her highly enough. For anybody considering Amy you wont be disappointed. I can wholeheartedly say she has given us support confidence and motivation for our agility journey throughout this time and we would probably have given up by now! My dogs absolutely LOVE Amy.
